Luminux High intensity Illuminator are available in several models for viewing radiographic films. All film viewer are capable of viewing films of minimum density 4.0. Few models are designed to view very dark films of density up to 4.5
Light source is either halogen lamps and or compact high intensity fluorescent light. Film viewers are having common features such as Control for varying light intensity to suit density of radiograph, Cooling fan, Heat absorbing glass, Shutters and / or IRIS diaphragm to control viewing screen area to suit film size or for viewing localized defects. A built in light glare free viewing and noting the observation in dark and a foot switch enables hand free switching of high intensity light.
This model is portable and can be carried in a briefcase. Viewing area is 50 x 200 mm and fitted with cold light and can view films having density up to 3.8. The light intensity can be varied in steps depending on the density of the film. Most suitable for the inspectors, surveyors.
High Intensity illuminator with viewing screen fitted with IRIS diaphragm (aperture) of maximum diameter 150mm reducible to 5mm to help viewing a particular area of radiograph. Most suitable for viewing localised defects. Can view radiographs of density up to 4.
The viewing screen is of size 10 x 30cm fitted with sliding shutters to restrict viewing screen area to suit film size and for viewing localized defects. It also helps in masking Radiographs for viewing localised area. Can view density upto 4.
