Product Description - Indian Paint's SHAKTI COOL & FIX WATERPROOFING & TEMPERATURE CONTROLLER is a revolutionary coating material with dual properties. Cool and fix when applied on any surface effectively reduces the temperature. It also seals minor cracks thus aiding in the arrest of leakage. It can also be used to seal plumbing / other joints. Recommended Usage - Wall and roof is directly exposed to extreme weather condition like heat and rain. Repeated weather cycles deteriorate the condition of the wall & roof, causing cracks on it. The direct exposure to heat results in heat getting transferred to the inner rooms making it uncomfortable for occupation. It also results in increased electricity costs, if any cooling gadgets is fixed like Air-conditioners or Air-coolers. During monsoons the water seeps through the wall and roof spoiling the expensive paints of interiors. This may also cause corrosion of the reinforcement steel, which might lead to weakening of the slab. In case of improper sloping of terraces water stagnates of the surface aggravating leakage problems. During summer the water in storage tanks get heated. There are areas in industrial Structures / Hospitals where temperature control is essential.

Recommended Application - Cleaning: Ensure that the surface to be painted is free from any loose paint, dust, oil grease. Any previous growth of fungus, algae or most needs to be removed thoroughly by vigorous wire brushing and cleaning with water.
Filling: Application of Indian Paint's SHAKTI PLUS DECORATIVE WATERPROOF CEMENT PAINT and water (1:½) recommended surface imperfection such as holes, dents, cracks are be filled with this mixture for better protection.

Special Features - Low initial cost. No inconvenience to occupants. Simple, easy to apply application, can be done by a semi/low skilled painter, mason, masons assistant etc. Applied in the form of slurry, using a brush. Recommended Application Areas - It is use as exterior protective paint. New and existing concrete roof/terrace of building. Asbestos cement paints roof/walls. Water/tanks cracks in parapet walls, and the attachment of roof. Membranes to parapet walls. Industries, garages, water pipes, Cinema halls, Pavements, Cold storage. Swimming pools on higher floors. Army barracks.

Recommended Application - Remove all the loosely adhering material and dust from the surface with wire brush and wash the surface properly with clean water. Allow the surface to dry completely before application of "COOL & FIX".
Big cracks if any on the roof/terrace/other surface to dry completely before application of "COOL & FIX".
Mix "Cool & Fix" with 40-45% water slowly, to make a workable paste, dilute the paste with an additional 15-20% of water, Cool & Fix stirring, to make thick slurry. The total water content should be 1:1 for walls.
Thoroughly mix the slurry for 10-15 minutes before application.
Application should be done in the morning of evening (avoid afternoon when temperature are high)
After drying apply the first coat of slurry horizontally/vertically with a brush. Apply on 2nd coat in reverse direction allow the surface to dry for at least 2 hrs before 2nd coat use the prepared slurry within 2 hrs. it is advisable to take fresh material for each coat application for sealing plumbing/other joints use a thicker paste of Cool & Fix
