Lympro’s Alprothane lamination ink resin range have increased solubility in a variety of solvents and alcohols; excellent bond strengths, good pigment dispersion capability, very low retained solvent properties, fast re-solubility on the press and compatibility with other resins. The polymer chain is designed so that requirement of co- resins is nil to low.
Alprothane resins yield high solids inks with excellent adhesion to multiple film substrates. In addition, the flexible polyurethane requires no co-solvents and is completely alcohol-soluble. This film-forming resin contributes to extremely low retained solvents in final package. The low solution viscosity allows high pigment loads, easy press clean-up and good printability with high brightness.
The Alprothane range is commercially being used for various lamination applications - snack food bags, cheese and meat wrappers, frozen zipper pouches, laminated candy wrappers, condiment and liquid cosmetic packages.
Polyurethane (PUR and PU) is a polymer composed of a chain of organic units joined by carbamate (urethane) links. While most polyurethanes are thermosetting polymers that do not melt when heated, thermoplastic polyurethanes are also available.
Polyurethane polymers are traditionally and most commonly formed by reacting a di- or polyisocyanate with a polyol. Both the isocyanates and polyols used to make polyurethanes contain on average two or more functional groups per molecule.
Alprothane 3065s an elastomeric single component non reactive plasticizing polyurethane resin. This high molecular weight resin is specifically suitable for nitrocellulose as well vinyl base laminating ink system. The inherent properties built in the molecule make it a perfect system for ink formulator as requirement of any co resin is almost nil to low. The versatility of Alprothane 3065 helps to formulate a single system for gravure and flexo system and enable to meet ever changing needs in the packaging industry.

ALPROCRYL 1540 is a water based polyurethane acrylic emulsion with good adhesion properties.Its soft, flexible film makes the product water resistant with extra high gloss.It si used in application of Lamination Adhesive and heat seal applications.It is a mixture of polyurethane with acrylic as well styrewne monomer.ALPROCRYL 1540 gives clear, tough as well flexible film which helps water resistance .
ALPROCRYL 1540 gives the bonding to metal, BOPP, PP substrates.
