Low Thermal Mass Refractory
High Temperature Energy Efficient Shapes
Xlite series of insulating bricks are specially formulated with independent pores so as to ensure maximum insulating efficiency. These bricks are suitable for hot face insulation since gas permeation is prevented. Apart from low thermal conductivity, bricks have low density, high strength, high PCE and low iron content.
Xlite is a unique development made with energy saving as the prime consideration. Xlite is a foamed Sillimanite shaped refractory - a hybrid of Sillimanite refractory insulation brick incorporating the best insulating properties. Sillimanite being highly volume stable at elevated temperatures, extremely intricate shapes can be made out of Xlite with close dimensional tolerances. Xlite being foamed, has strengths greater than any conventional insulation brick of corresponding densities. Foamed structure enables Xlite for a better thermal shock resistance. Xlite range can be safely used for service temperatures upto 1650°C for hot face linings.
