Duraweld Metsys Pvt. Ltd. (Formally known as Duraweld Wearplates Private Limited), designed and developed in the year 1990-1991, "WEARPLATE" manufacturing concept indigenously and introduced this Hi-Tech material in India for the first time, with the assistance of Industrial Development Bank of India under "Venture Capital Fund Scheme".

The Company was honoured with the National Award for Outstanding Entrepreneurs and Quality Products for the year 1995-96 at the hands of the then President Dr. S.D. Sharma in July, 1997 at New Delhi.

The Company was conferred upon ISO 9001 Quality System Certification in April, 2004 by Det Norske Veritas (DNV) - The Netherlands - the only Company with ISO 9001 in the field of composite wearplates and reclamation services of vital machinery components.
