Abrasive brushes are preferred for finishing ferrous metals, wood, plastics and adopts to irregular surfaces for complete finishing. Wheel abrasive brushes are used in automate deburring systems, surface refinement of stainless steel, aluminum, brass and for finishing highly contoured parts like forged camshafts. Removes burrs and sharp edges on machined surface of gears. Cylindrical brushes are used to scrub surfaces of sheet or coiled metal before subsequent coatings and treatments are applied.
