The Max AFBC Series are a range of solid fuel fired, water wall cum smoke tube boilers. It consists of an external furnace with a fluidized bed combustion. They are three pass, radiation chamber cum shell type IBR steam boilers.

The Max AFBC series offers various types of feeding system options, such as a bubbling bed with automatic feeding, fluidized bed, etc. different type of grates such as travelling grates, dumping grates, reciprocating grates, pulsating grates and chain grates can also be used.

The various working pressure options suitable for the Max AFBC series are 10.54, 14.5, 17.5, 21 kg/cm² and above. With capacities ranging from 2 TPH to 22 TPH, the Max AFBC series is suitable for various types of fuels like coal, bagasse, wood, lignite, briquettes and more.

A thermal efficiency of 80 ± 2% can be obtained on NCV, which can be increased to 82 ± 2% on NCV with a heat recovery unit. An economiser or an air preheater can be added as a heat recovery unit to improve efficiency.
