The Partners - Sundeep Avarsekar and Pradeep Avarsekar have rich work experience with companies associated with the oil exploration and drilling activities in India. They started their firm S P Corporation in the year 1986 which specialized in buying and selling of Scrap material generated by companies in the oil field business, mainly from ONGC and other drilling contractors.
The year 2004, S P Logistics was incorporated to provide onshore logistics services to
M/s. Dolphin Drilling Ltd. for their offshore exploration campaign with their Rig Belford Dolphin and the two Offshore Supply Vessels M V Highland Drummer and M V Waveney Castle for their project contract with M/s. Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (ONGC). This project, “SAGAR SAMRUDDHI”, was the biggest deep-water exploration project launched by a single operator – ONGC.
The Company started with the goal and vision to provide Specialized Integrated Services to various Oilfield Companies, such as, Marine and Land based Logistics, Warehousing, Yard Management, and Transportation and Supplies under one roof.
Further, looking at the business potential in the field of Service Providers, in the year 2006, S P Logistics started its Ship Chandelling business, wherein, the company carried out business of Supplies to one of the largest Hospitality Company in India, Radhakrishna Hospitality Services Pvt. Ltd. (RKHS) now known as Sodexo Food Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and also provided Dry & Reefer Container to them on hire for transportation of Food Supplies.
The Company has Ship-chandelling licenses for Mormugao Port trust (MPT), Vasco-Da-Gama, Goa on the West Coast of India and at Kakinada Port, Andhra Pradesh on the East Coast of India.
The year 2008, S P Logistics entered into the Manufacture of Containers and started its in-house Manufacturing Unit for Cargo Containers, Cargo Baskets, Refrigerated Containers, Mud-labs, Land site/Camp site Bunk Houses/Accommodation Containers, Working Containers especially for Oilfield Companies in India. They started manufacturing in their own unit at Navi Mumbai, India. The Manufacturing unit has dedicated team of certified Welders & Staff.
Our containers and baskets are accompanied with Visual MPI, Load Test & Lifting Gears Certification. We also undertake Repairs & Refurbishment jobs for oilfield Containers and Baskets.
Since then, our Company has grown to provide specialized services for various activities for companies associated with oilfield exploration.
