But there is a big problem on the market place – can somebody tell me the difference by looking, touching and tasting freshly produced UPVC – NO. Only chemical test and time can tell the difference. In most countries where UPVC has become the market leader strict laws have been implemented by government to protect the consumer from bad quality UPVC. This has not yet been introduced in South Africa and we need to rely on local independent and international certification to ensure high quality UPVC.
It has come to my attention that the only quality UPVC window, door, shutter, cladding and fence products in South Africa are imported and exceed the quality of local production by a large margin.
