Avalesh Pak

Avalesh is boiled on low temperature til it becomes sticky when we stir it with a spoon. Avalesh Pak acts as a tonic and sedative. Useful in burning sensation, Svasa-kasa. Asthama, Amlpitta, Raktpitta, Piles, Chronic, diarrhea, Ksaya, Nervous wekness and failing memory. Proves more vigorous for both male and female in winter.

GUGGULU

It is an exudates obtained finom Plant Commiphora Mukul, preparations having exudates as amin effective ingredient are common Guggulu. There are five different varities of Guggulu described in the texts. However two of the varities namely Mahisaksa and Kanaka Guggulu are usually preferred for medicinal preparations. Mahisaksa Guggulu is dark greenish, brown and Kanaka. Guggulu is yeloish brown in color , guggulu can be shodhita fun medicinal used Shodhita Guggulu is soft, Waxy and Brown in color. Characteristics of preparation of Guggulu very depending on other ingredients added to the preparation generally guggulu is use for Kastha, Granthi, Mandangani, Prameh, Madhumeha, Artisties, Ashmari & pradour(Vat Vikar).

PISTI

After purification the drug is put in a khalva annerally with rose water, unless otherwise mentioned it is triturated with the liquid for a day and dried in the sun for another day. This process is generally continued for seven days. When dried with sunlight then called “SURYA PUTI” and dried with moon light then called ”Chandra Puti”. They are as time as bhasma and have the characteristics of bhasma.

ALOH MANDOOR

Loh (iron) Bhasma is the important ingredient is Loh Mandoor. Because of its Loh bhasma content Loh Mandoor is given in very small doses. Mandoor Kalpas are prepared in combination of refined mandoor with other Ayurvedic medicines. This is a powerful haematinc generally indicated in anaemias, Jaundice etc. Loh Mandoor increases blood tissues in the body.
