We manufacture high-performance, Batch Type and continuous Conveyorised ovens that provide diverse opportunities for processors
of all sizes

neatwind Industries plays a pivotal and multi-faceted role in the healthcare industry. Our world-renowned depyrogenation tunnels sterilize vials used for liquid pharmaceuticals. The products we touch in the healthcare industry often have a tremendous impact on people’s lives. In addition to pharmaceutical vials, our equipment cures and sterilizes contact lenses and many different life-saving medical and surgical devices. Healthcare companies turn to Despatch when only the highest standards of quality equipment will do. With a large installed base of units in the medical field, the performance of neatwind Industries typically exceeds process requirements for even the most exacting customer needs. Despatch understands well the many possible customer applications and can offer custom designs to accommodate many processes. One of the most significant opportunities could be for those processors to convert their operations from the more traditional batch baking of formed, pan, grilled, and en croûte products, to more efficient, high-performance continuous baking processes.

Whether producing items such as pies, pizza bases, artisan breads, pastries, desserts or appetizers, smaller baking operations today have unprecedented access to advanced, flexible cooking equipment that can make their businesses more productive in energy- and labor-efficiency, with improved consistency of quality and reduced product waste.

This includes a variety of continuous cooking equipment that can incorporate an assortment of technologies and parameters that can be tailored to suit processors’ needs: high-temperature cooking, impingement, double impingement, convection, super-heated vapor, integrated cooling, and linear or spiral cooking. This equipment can provide faster bake times, more uniform color, quicker product throughput and even a smaller equipment footprint – all with a relatively quick investment payback.

MEDICAL DEVICES

“For medical instrument manufacturers that need to apply polymer coatings to products such as defibrillators, pacemakers, catheters and surgical staples, aNeatwind Industries forced convection oven with its tight temperature tolerances provides a superior coating drying process. By using the forced convection oven together with forced exhaust, manufacturers realize quicker cool-down times and shorter process cycles. The result is greater productivity with lower cost..

OPTICAL

Optical labs find Despatch ovens well suited for curing optical coatings needed for scratch resistance and tinting. Ovens are available with pass-through doors for a seamless process flow through the work cell. For curing contact lenses a nitrogen atmosphere oven is used to prevent yellowing of the lenses. Optical manufacturers depend on uniform internal temperatures, accurate ramp and soak time and precise temperature controls. Forced convection ovens fromNeatwind Industries provide high air flow and tight temperature uniformity (±1°C) as well as rapid cooling. Together, these key attributes provide consistent coating cures, reduced cycle times, and dramatically improved process yields—by as much as 28%.

PHARMACEUTICAL

“Neatwind Industries thermal processing solutions are found in a wide variety of critical applications for the pharmaceutical industry. Many features that are usually optional are standard with Despatch. All our pharmaceutical solutions feature: High-performance heating and cooling packages that reduce cycle times and lower costs Durable 316L stainless steel interiors for maximum corrosion resistance Rounded interior corners, for easier cleaning Complete validation support documentation to comply with 21 CFR Part 11 requirements of the FDA From R&D to production, Despatch delivers consistent, repeatable performance that adds up to shorter cycle times, higher productivity and lower operating costs.”

XYZ adds that the baking industry has seen consolidation of large players in the industry in recent years, and that their market segment is being well served. Yet there is some strong growth among the smaller and intermediate-size bakeries.

“For them to have the right equipment, including that which enables continuous processing, can be highly beneficial,” Kline says. Additional performance improvements in continuous baking include energy savings of up to 15 percent when equipment is updated from outdated linear convection ovens. “With batch ovens you are opening and closing the oven doors all the time, and then have to wait for the temperature to regain the required level,” says Adam Cowherd, vice president of sales with Unitherm Food Systems (Bristow, OK). “With the continuous-baking ovens, once the oven reaches the desired temperature, they will continue to hold that temperature for as long as you like.”
