Meeting The Challenges

Indigenisation of TDK traction motor bearings for Indian Railways
In the year 1986, Indian railways selected Precimax Group to indigenously develop babbit lined bearings with copper mesh inter layers for TDK traction motors. Over the years Railways have found that the performance of the bearings developed by Precimax was comparable to the bearings originally manufactured by Daido of Japan. Precimax manufactured more than 400 bearings for this assignment.

Bearings for a 125 year old hydro power station
A leading hydro turbine manufacturer was undertaking revamping of a 125 year old hydropower station having 10 units of turbines of different capacities and origins. The company chose Precimax for developing bearings. Precimax undertook the task of designing and developing new bearings which achieved significantly lower frictional losses. The entire assignment was completed in twelve months. The plant is successfully running for the last 4 years.

Bearing for a used rolling mill
A leading steel mill imported a used rolling of 4.0 MT capacity. Neither the drawings nor the engineering details were available. The customer entrusted the task of designing and developing the entire set of 14 bearings and spares, ranging from the size 360 to 762 mm dia and 650 kg to 5.5 T weight. The company successfully developed and manufactured these bearings, which have been running very satisfactorily for the last 10 years. Precimax Group is the sole supplier of babbit metal lined bearings to this steel mill.

Development of bearings for electrical machinery
Country’s largest power equipment manufacturer entered into collaboration with a European company. They turned to collaboration with a European company. They turned to Precimax Group to develop the entire range of 20 bearings for a new generation machinery. These bearings are currently in production and over the last 19 years, 2500 sets in different sizes have been supplied
