Projects

Ports are integral to facilitating international trade and act as fulcrum of economic activity and overall growth.

Sea Port Pondicherry

India’s coastline of 7,517 kms, spread over 13 States/Union territories, is studded with 12 major ports and 200 (as per latest information from Maritime States) non-major ports. This would not suffice the anticipated growth, considering the emergence of India, in the region and the world over, as a hub of business, trade and commerce.

A concession agreement has been signed with the the Government of Puducherry to develop the existing port into a deep water port. The port is designed to handle containers, cars, general cargo, edible oil and passengers. However, the project is currently on hold due to settlement of differences between the parties concerned.

SEZ Pondicherry

India is in a growth trajectory with investment opportunities and the potential to create wealth over the long term. The steady influx of global corporate companies into India validates the opportunities in the country.

With an opportunity to create and develop a special economic zone (SEZ) at Puducherry, an agreement was signed with the Government of Puducherry. However, the project is currently on hold due to notification of the SEZ by the Government of India and differences between the parties concerned.
