Product Construction

The motors are made following using many other components such as Core, Windings, Rotors, Treatment, Terminal Box, Shaft and Bearings. Their features and construction are mentioned below:

Stator Housing: Grey iron castings are used to make Stator Housing and end shields. A greater number of parallel ribs has been provided in the Stator housing to ensure ruggedness and better heat dissipation.
Core: Low loss, high permeability, varnish insulated electrical grade sheet steel is used to make this core, which is further compressed, keyed and then clamped to form a rigid structure. This cleated stator stacks, pre wound are hydraulically pressed in cast Iron frame, which ensures better stacking, correct fits and uniform air gap.
Windings: The Stator is generally wounded with enameled copper wire with class F insulation connections by electric brazing firm contacts and eradicate loose connections normally prevalent in soldering.
Rotors: The Rotor has been designed to withstand the sever forces encountered during starting. Rotors are specially die-cast skewed for better performance, each Rotor is dynamically balanced to ensure very low amplitude vibration and low noise level. This has a shape as that of squirrel cage type.
Treatment: Wound stators are impregnated using polyester resin varnish having class ''F'' Thermal stability.
Shaft: Shafts are made from high carbon steel at adequate cross sections to provide exceptional strength and rigidity to minimize deflection and vibration
Terminal Box: The rigid by scaled terminal box is arranged on the right hand side of the frame when viewed from the driving end.
Bearings: Grease lubricated, ball bearings are housed in end shields. These bearings have a 90% survival life of a minimum 30,000 working hours for direct drives.
Test: Motors are subjected to routine and type testes in accordance with latest standards.
