Motor Protection Unit-Pump Controller :

MICROCONTROLLERS with their inherent advantages are being increasingly used in the industry. With growing shortage and escalating cost of Electrical Energy, accurate monitoring of parameters has become necessary. 'PUMP CONTROLLER is used for the same purpose. This instrument is able to monitor basic parameters and accordingly control pump. It protects costly pumps from ‘Unhealthy conditions’ such as over load/under load etc. by automatically cutting off supply to it.

SALIENT FEATURES

  • Fully programmable.
  • Complete protection from unhealthy condition.
  • All set points programmable from keypad..
  • Password protection for controller.
  • Simple 3 keys for on site programming.
  • Alarm indication on LED’s.
  • Scrolling display of parameters, one by one in Run Mode.
  • ‘HOLD’ facility for pausing display in Run mode.
  • Status & Healthy indication by LED on front panel.
  • Direct display of actual current drawn by pump.
  • Direct display of actual voltage.

SALIENT FEATURES

2) Underload protection set point user selectable.
3) Single Phasing, Reverse Phasing, Unbalance Protection.
4) Over/Under Voltage Protection.
5) Over/Under Load Protection set point user selectable.

Working :

At Power On, under normal working condition, Relay1 & Relay2 indication led’s will blink and glow steady after their power on delays. Unit enters ‘Run Mode’, in this mode display shows R-Y Voltage, Y-B Voltage, B-R Voltage & R, Y, B current drawn by each phase. In Run mode Relay1 & Relay2 will be turned ON/OFF depending on the occurrence of respective fault. If fault occurs, ALARM indication goes ON blinking on the front panel of unit. Faults such as over / under load, will turn off current relay, and faults such as over / under voltage will turn off voltage relay. Manual control for restart after fault has been programmed therefore user has to press decrement key to restart the unit. The unit will resume Run mode if fault disappears after delay.

The Unit provides fault indication by blinking red led’s for over/under voltage, over/under load, single phasing & unbalance. User can examine the parameters directly in Run mode display and can ‘Hold’ any Run mode parameter by pressing increment key in RUN mode. Function key is used to enter Function mode to view/change settings.

KEY DESIGNATIONS :

1) FUN : This key is used to change the controller from RUN mode to FUNCTION selection mode.
2) INC : This key is used to increment the value of parameters in Function mode and ‘HOLD’ display in RUN mode.
3) DEC : This key is used to decrement the value of parameters in Function mode and as ‘Manual Restart’ after fault occurance.
