Phase Correction Relay :

Protection of 3 Phase devices against Over voltage,Under voltageor unbalance supply is one of the major issue in electrical systems.

For safe running of 3-phase devices, special protections that keep a continuous watch on supply conditions are very essentials. The major cause of maxium load burn-out is overloading which occurs due to unbalance supply

'PROTONs PHASE CORRECTOR RELAY' offer following protections along with 3 digit display showing R-Y,Y-B,BR voltages in scanning mode with precise accuracy.

LOW/HIGH voltage tripping to ensure trouble free running of 3-phase Loads. Single phasing & Unbalance protection. Phase correction RELAY 'R2' which operates only when phase sequence changes.

SALIENT FEATURES :

  • Microcontroller based technology
  • Voltage protection along with digital voltage readout.
  • Wide range of supply variation.
  • Protection against Under voltage.
  • Protection against Over voltage.
  • Phase unbalance protection.
  • All the set points setable by keys.
  • Indication unaffected by meter mounting position.
  • Indications for High voltage, Low voltage ,SPP & Relay ON .
  • Separate phase corrector relay.
  • Hold feature:- Press INC key in Running condition to observe particular supply voltage.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION :

Supply Voltage : 300-500 VAC, Three phase (No auxilliary supply)
Output Contacts : PHASE O/P1 FOR R-Y-B SEQUENCE CONTACTOR1
PHASE O/P2 FOR REVERSE SEQUENCE CONTACTOR2
Voltage trip setting : 420 to 500 V For OV with digital display (resolution of 1 V)
300 to 380 V For UV with digital display (resolution of 1 V)
( Hysterisis between cut off & cut in is 10V )
Trip Time delay : For OV,UV, SPP,Reverse phasing,Imbalance in supply 10 msec. NOTE: System supply is taken from R & N If R phase goes off then unit will be off.
ON Delay : Selectable by keys from 1 to 60 sec.
Reset Mode : Auto reset.
Indications : UNDER VOLTAGE : RED LED
OVER VOLTAGE : RED LED
RELAY 2 ON : GREEN LED
RELAY 1 ON : GREEN LED
Keys : [ FUN ] FUNCTION key, To select a set point function.
[ /\ ] INC key, To increment set point.
[ \/ ] DEC key, To Decrement set point.
Operating Temperature range : -5 0C to 60 0C.
Relative Humidity : 95%
Mounting : DIN RAIL mounting.

Working :

In the normal run mode, display shows Voltages Vry,Vyb,Vbr for 10 sec. each If the supply is within the range (No faults)then display shows count down for time set in the set point ( default 10 sec) & after that Relay will be ON. If OV/UV/SPP/Reverse Phase or unbalance occurs in the supply then Relay will be OFF & corresponding fault LED starts blinking.Hysterisis betwen Cut off & cut in is 10V for OV & UV. Note that for SPP & Unbalance LED is not blinking but message appears on display at end of scanning. but display shows particular fault"rP" at the end of scanning. All the faults are indicated by message.

If phase reversal occurs then Relay 1 will be off & after time delay Relay 2 will be ON.
If phase sequence is Ok then again Relay 1 will be ON.
OV,UV,SPP is applicable for both relays

SET POINTS :

- To set Under voltage set point press FUN key once, display shows 'uV' again press FUN key then the set point is viewed (default 350V)now user can set the UV set point using arrow keys.

- To set Over voltage set point press FUN key till display shows 'oV' again press FUN key then the set point is viewed(default 460V) now user can set the OV set point using arrow keys.

- To set On delay set point press FUN key till display shows 'dly' again press FUN key then the set point is viewed(default 10sec.)now user can set the

on time for relay using arrow keys.
To decide maximum imbalance tolerable between phase voltages(Imbalance set point) press FUN key till display shows 'ub' again press FUN key then the set point is viewed(default 40V)now user can set imbalance set point using arrow keys.

SET POINTS:

IMP.NOTE: After set point entered, the system goes into Run mode
automatically after 5 sec.The setpoint is stored automatically.
also if a set point is changed & FUN key pressed again then also
set point is saved in memory.
