Bag Heat Sealing
Alligator Automationsoffers hand held, portable, table top, and mounted commercial band sealers.
Band sealers have two bands, typically infused with PTFE to prevent sticking, thathold the top of the bag and carry it between heating elements which hermetically seal the bag closed. Depending on the type of bag, industrial band sealers can produce seals from 1/8" to 1/4" wide at rates up to 60 feet/minute.
Band sealers can be used to seal a wide variety of bags or pouches such as: polyethylene (PE, LLDPE, HDPE) polypropylene (PP) and nylon bags.
Band sealers can be operated in a horizontal, tilted, or vertical position. The vertical position is used if the product can flow out of the bag (i.e. powders, liquids) and the horizontal position is used when the bag can be laid on its side.
Bag Sewing Machines
Alligators Automations stocks a variety of fixed sewing heads. Fixed sewing heads are mounted on pedestals or on bagging conveyors and used in high volume (6-20 bags/minute) bag closing applications.
Bags are fed manually or automatically through fixed sewing heads. Plain sew and crepe tape models are offered in dual thread configurations.
A wide variety of accessories are available for fixed sewing heads including various mounting pedestals, tag placers, power infeed systems, a full range of conveyors, bag-top folders, thread and tape-break detectors.
Tape Applicator
Our Tape Application Machine offers simple solutions for applying finger lift or double-sided tape to a wide range of finished products. The Tape Dispensers can be purchased as an add-on unit for existing machinery such as folding machines or mailing systems. Alternatively a complete off-line system is available with an integral feeder and conveyor table which allows fast simple production of an infinite range of work.
