Slam Safety Shut Off Valve

Safety Shut Off Valves, also called as Slam Shut Off Valves or Over Pressure Shut Off valves protect the Low Pressure Rating Components after the Gas Pressure Regulator in case of accidental increase of Outlet Pressure.

These generally Manual Reset type valves, are mounted before the Gas Pressure Regulator, these valves are provided with Pressure Regulator outlet Pressure feedback directly through a Impulse Line.

These valve immediately shuts off the Inlet Gas Flow thus ensuring Plant Safety.

The Safety Shut Off Valve can be set to operate at a predefined Pressure Setpoint.

Manual Reset ensures the supply is restored only after rectification of the problem triggering the Shut Off.

Also, available for Safety Shut Off in Low Pressure Condition. Auto Reset versions available for Low Pressure Shut Off.

 

REFERENCE STANDARD

The UNI 8827 standards, at the point 4.1.1, require that all gas systems working with

upstream pressures from 0,04 to 1,5 bar be equipped with a downstream overpressure

closing valve device.
